  2. 495th R/C Squadron

    Location: Tewksbury & Groton, MA The 495th R/C Squadron, Inc. is a non-profit club chartered by the Academy of Model Aeronautics (AMA) for the promotion of radio controlled (R/C) model aircraft. The club is based in Tewksbury, Massachusetts, and is comprised of approximately 160 members, coming from all walks of life, and is devoted to the design, construction and flying of R/C model airplanes and helicopters. Founded in 1972, the Club's name is derived from the first flying site used by the new club; the roadbed of the not-yet-completed Interstate 495 in Chelmsford, Massachusetts. Today, the Club maintains two R/C model flying fields, located  in Groton, and Tewksbury, Massachusetts, and offers free training to anyone that would like to learn to fly R/C model aircraft. Membership in the 495th R/C Squadron, Inc. is open to all current AMAmembers. The Club holds monthly meetings, as well as fun-fly events, barbeques and picnics. For more information on joining the 495th R/C Squadron, Inc., please contact a Club officer.

  4. Central Massachusetts Radio Control Modelers

    Location: Westborough, MA CMRCM is a small club that is located in the Central Massachusetts region. Our field is in Westborough, MA and our meetings are held in Berlin, MA. We hold meetings once a month, except in the summer when we are too busy flying. We focus on RC aircraft, including glow powered, electric, soaring, etc. Membership is open to anyone. There is a fee to join and AMA membership is required if you are going to fly aircraft. Please see the Club Information section for more details.

    LLFC is located in Wrentham Massachusetts and is part of the Academy of Model Aeronautics (AMA) district one.  LLFC was founded in 1975  and is club #1389.   Today, the LLFC is one of the nicest AMA chartered clubs you can fly at in the New England area. This club supports and promotes the hobby of remote control flying and encourages all types of hobby enthusiasts at this field.

  7. South Shore Radio Control Club - Bridgewater, Ma

    Our incredible flying field is located on Massachusetts State property behind the Bridgewater Corrections facility in Bridgewater, MA and has got to be one of the best flying fields in the entire world. Our runway is massive and pristinely groomed. Our pit area is large and has a pavilion for protection from the elements, handy benches for plane assembly and testing, as well as barbeque grills for all members to use. Our parking area is large with the ability to accommodate large crowds for events and social gatherings that may include spectators. Our mission is to create and nurture a friendly and welcoming environment, while at the same time providing assistance and guidance for anyone interested in learning about remote control flying. We will help all that are interested to pick the best computer simulation as well as the best trainer plane, and we have several members that are highly skilled and highly qualified instructors that will work with you side-by-side. So whether you are interested in learning to fly, are already an accomplished flyer looking for a great group of friendly and helpful members to fly with, or simply want to watch the airplanes fly, come on out and see us at SSRCC.
